A large electronics and manufacturing company located in Fort Collins CO has an immediate need for an experience Proposal Writer on a part time basis.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary point of contact for Sales and Marketing to coordinate and draft responses to customer RFQs (requests for quotes) for solar inverters. Using knowledge, talent, tools and energy, an RFQ Specialist navigates complex paths to provide proposals that help win customer sales. Coordinates frequently with local and remote Field Sales, Product Marketing, Global Support, Legal, Accounting, Engineering, and/or Operations staff. Also interacts frequently with potential customers via phone, email, and web. Handles multiple, time-sensitive tasks and leverages previous work through knowledge database. Requirements include using independent judgment to prioritize and interpret information spanning business, technical, legal, financial, and confidential sources.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving, reviewing, and completing RFQs from Sales and customers.
Periodically updating inverter sales quote templates to keep current and accurate.
Working with internal constituents efficiently and effectively for accurate, positive customer responses.
Maintaining knowledge of solar industry terms, key customers, products and services, Incoterms, trade practices, and foreign trade implications.
Responding to internal and external customer needs, and striving for improved functional proficiency.
Working with marketing communications and tech documents groups to refine promotional materials.
Regularly contact potential customers regarding project announcements and press releases.
Essential:
BA/BS in Business or related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
Technical education or experience in solar photovoltaics, power inverters, high power, or construction desired
Strong computer skills in word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), email, data management, web (SharePoint) and occasionally business systems and planning software (SAP preferred).
